KUWAIT CITY, March 7: Termination of services are looming particularly in the low-wage or marginal employment sectors, not because of the financial difficulties the companies usually face, but due to the repercussions of the precautionary measures imposed by the state against coronavirus, reports Al-Rai daily.

After the Kuwait Municipality took a decision to suspend the ‘sheesha’ service offered by restaurants and cafes and intensified its campaigns on barbershops and health institutes, based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, customers have become more reluctant to go to these outlets making such businesses vulnerable to huge losses which may affect more than half the number of such employees.

If no cure is found for the virus by the end of March, the situation of the restaurants and cafés is expected to worsen.
