Collision holds up traffic for three hours

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Traffic was brought to a standstill for almost three hours when a heavy-duty vehicle collided with a petrol tanker on the Sixth Ring Road Opposite Sulaibiya area, resulting in oil pour-out and injury to the tanker driver.

A fire source said the Operations Room of Fire Service Department received information about the incident and dispatched firemen to the scene alongside a team of security men and paramedics.

The injured tanker was removed from the wreckage and taken to a hospital for treatment, while the firemen cleaned the leakage with foam and sand. They later removed the two vehicles from the road and traffic was restored
