IS chief dead body found in eastern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Oct 9 (KUNA) — The body of an Islamic State official named Abu Bakr al Raqqawi was found discarded in the eastern bordern town of Arsal on Sunday, according to the official National News Agency (NNA).
“The dead terrorist was responsible for murder of Internal Security Forces soldier Zaher Ezzedine. Raqqawi ordered the slaughter of Ezzedine in the town’s square in front of his own family,” the NNA added.
Arsal had witnessed bitter fighting between armed Syrian opposition groups and the government Lebanese forces. Its outskirts often witness clashes between Lebanese Army troops and the gunmen, entrenched in nearby mountainous locations.
