Chasing passengers from endemic countries

KUWAIT, Feb 22 : Kuwait received its nationals from Iran, after allocating planes for their return, in the wake endemic of Corona virus that has plagued various parts of the world reports Al Rai. Incoming and outgoing flights to these mass infected countries have been suspended.

Dr. Fahd Al-Najjar confirmed that the Ministry of Health is contacting arrivals from the affected countries, as soon they arrive their names and numbers are announced. In addition hotline is set to take precautionary measures.

The Ministry of Health is in a state of emergency to receive the returnees, as the Minister of Health Dr. Basil Al-Sabah accompanied with medical teams specialized and trained to handle viruses reviewed the operations to receive the returnees at the airport.

Sources said that cases of returnees from endemic countries, or in which cases of new Corona virus infection have been registered and will be subject to screening by relevant medical teams.

The sources pointed out that the cases will be subject to quarantine at the sites prepared by the Ministry for this purpose, specially those who are coming directly from virus affected area, or suspected cases that show symptoms of the disease. The ministry had announced earlier that they will quarantine passengers coming from the Iranian city of Qom, which has witnessed record number of coronavirus infection.

For those coming from countries or cities in which have limited cases will be placed under domestic quarantine under the supervision and follow-up of the Ministry of Health, where they will be prevented from going to work for a period of two weeks during the quarantine period.
