Center of labour rehabilitation key development pillar: official

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9, (KUNA): Secretary General of Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Fawzi Al- Majdali stressed that the center of developing, training and rehabilitating national labor is a cornerstone for economic and social development in Kuwait. Al-Majdali, who celebrated conclusion of the first phase of the program late on Tuesday, said the project, the first of its kind in the Arab world, aims to contribute to attracting national workers in the private sector after rehabilitation of national cadres to start work in all commercial and industrial sectors.

This national achievement has been attained upon directives of His Highness the Amir to support and care for youth as they are the State real wealth, he added, indicating that proportion of recruiting national workers will rise to restructure Kuwait’s labor market and demographic status. Oh her part, the head of Manpower and Government Restructuring Program’s (MGRP) training department, Iman AlAnsari, said the program concluded its first phase successfully.

The important project aims to develop and train national cadres and pave way for increasing the State Gross national product (GNP), she added. Among its goals are training, changing patterns of work and providing proper jobs to all people through setting up a world-class training center, she noted. There is dire need for an intendent center to meet development needs and train national cadres, she said. The center carries out latest training methods, including remote training.
