Boy in joyride – Father blamed

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: A 12-year old Saudi boy drove his father’s vehicle on the streets of Kuwait and was discovered near Sixth Ring Road after a long search that lasted 20 hours. According to security sources, a Saudi expatriate went to a police station and reported that his 12-year old son and his gold-colored “Yukon” vehicle are missing. Immediately a search was launched by securitymen to find the juvenile and the missing vehicle.

After 20 hours of search, a Kuwaiti citizen found the vehicle with the juvenile inside it near Sixth Ring Road. He immediately notified securitymen about the missing boy. Securitymen received the juvenile and handed him over to his father. Ministry of Interior has filed a case of neglect of child’s welfare against the father and seized his vehicle because he had left the key of the vehicle with the juvenile.
