Border security dept okays plan that aims to hinder infiltration bids – JSD intensifies security at all mosques in Jahra prior to Friday prayers

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: Director General of General Department for Border Security Eyad Al-Haddad says the department has approved a plan that aims to hinder any attempt to infiltrate or manipulate with the entrance and exit procedures, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to this plan, a new mechanism will be applied which includes changing shift timings, employing excellent security officials, better supervision of the officers 24/7, etc. Officials of the department held a number of meetings to discuss this new plan from all angles in order to curb smuggling operations and exit of wanted individuals and those banned from traveling. The plan was also approved by Ministry of Interior. New and unique security procedures are expected to be applied soon at the borders.

Meanwhile, Jahra Security Directorate intensified the security measures in all mosques of the area prior to the Friday prayers to ensure the application of the Ministry of Interior’s security plan under the supervision of the ministry’s undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad, reports Al- Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that the plan has been successful in maintaining the security and stability of the country. The sources explained that security teams were sent to the mosques on Friday morning and they placed barriers to allow people to enter from one side only after inspection. The worshippers praised these security procedures, as they understood that the current circumstances of the region necessitate extra caution.
