Belgium cancel friendly match

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Belgium Football Federation has declared that the Belgium team, which is third in the world based on the international football ranking, will not play in a match against Italy that was scheduled to take place in Kuwait during the inauguration of Jaber Stadium on Nov 13, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The federation explained that the reason behind its decision to cancel the friendly match at Jaber Stadium is the resolution taken by FIFA to suspend all football events in Kuwait. It had received a letter from FIFA to inform about the suspension of Kuwait Football Association based on Article 14 from Chapter 13 of FIFA Law, which means that Kuwait will not be able to host any match on its land.
According to sources, the match between Belgium and Italy will be shifted to King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels along with the match against Spain on Nov 19.
