Bangladeshi held with liquor

KUWAIT CITY, May 6:  A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested in Mangaf area in possession of 20 bottles of locally manufactured liquor, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mangaf area at night, based on instructions from Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa, when they noticed a man sitting on the truck of a vehicle. As they approached him, he ran but they chased and arrested him. They checked the vehicle and found 20 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. He was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Blogger acquitted: The Misdemeanor Court acquitted a blogger who was accused of posting offensive remarks publicly on his Twitter account, says Al-Seyassah. According to the case fi le, the Public Prosecution demanded punishing the blogger based on Article 210 of the Penal Code. However, his counsel Lawyer Mohammad Al-Qattan stressed the lack of evidences against his client in the case fi le, requesting the court to acquit his client.

Cleaners culprits: The Asians who were arrested a few days ago for possessing medicines are believed to be cleaning workers working at the government health centers, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting security sources. The same sources said the suspects were arrested after one of the men was caught red-handed selling medicines to a private pharmacy. During interrogation he admitted to the charge and guided police to his accomplices in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
