Ban lifted on 346 jobs for expats

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has lifted the ban on 346 job positions for expat teachers within the budget for fiscal 2021/2022, coinciding with the recent decision of the Ministry of Education to hire teachers locally, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a source from the educational sector. The source said that around 100 of the undisclosed number of teachers who have applied so far fulfilled the conditions. The source added the Administrative and Public Education sectors are currently coordinating their efforts to determine the number of non-Kuwaiti teachers whose appointments have been delayed since last year due to the corona crisis.
