Bags dumped on road stir panic

Four strange bags which were randomly discarded on a road raised panic among passerby and put the security authorities on alert.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from an Egyptian passerby about the four bags on the road, securitymen rushed to the locations. Out of apprehension that the bags could contain explosives, they summound the Bomb Squad to the location. The latter checked the bags to discover they were filled with just clothes and documents.

The bags were removed and investigations were launched to identify the individual responsible for dumping the bags on the roads.

Biker killed on the spot: An unidentified young Egyptian died on the spot in a road accident in Salmiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the daily he was riding a motorbike and he collided with a car driven by an unidentified person.

Without going into details, the daily said the remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating the accident.
