Asia’s shooting body appoints Kuwait’s Sheikh Salman president

His Highness Amir congratulates Kuwaiti officials on new Asian posts

Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah with the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4, (KUNA): Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has been elected Asian Shooting Confederation president during which he will serve a four-year term in the post.

President of the Kuwaiti and Arab shooting bodies Duaij Al-Otaibi was also appointed ASC Secretary-General amid executive committee meetings held in Kuwait on Sunday, read a statement by Kuwait Shooting Club.

South Korea is also set to host the 2023 Asian Shotgun and Airgun Championships after being awarded the hosting rights to the tournament after fierce competition with China.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday sent a cable of congratulations to President of the General Administration of Civil Aviation Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.

In the cable, His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere congratulations on Sheikh Salman’s recommendation as Asian Shooting Confederation President for the next four years.

His Highness the Amir also sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Kuwaiti Shooting Federation Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi on his election to the post of Secretary-General of the Asian Shooting Confederation.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to Sheikh Salman and Engineer Al-Otaibi.
