‘Asian’s case discovered 3 weeks ago’

KUWAIT CITY, May 16: Technical Department Director at the Ministry of Health Dr Laila Al-Anazi clarified that the video clip of an Asian coronavirus patient confined at Jaber Hospital, which went viral on social media, was a case discovered three weeks ago, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Al-Anazi said Jaber Hospital is designated for Kuwaitis only, indicating the residents infected with the virus are referred to the field hospital at the exhibitions ground in Mishref.

She revealed the halls in the exhibitions ground are equipped with beds and a recovery room; in addition to the designated coronavirus patients units in Adan, Mubarak Al- Kabeer, Farawaniya and Al-Amiri hospitals. She added the Thunyan Al- Ghanim Center is being prepared for suspected corona cases to prevent interaction with other patients until the test results are out to ensure their safety, stressing this procedure is followed in all countries throughout the world.
