Asian man, woman attempt suicide in 2 incidents

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: An Asian worker tried to commit suicide in the house of his employer in Al-Naseem by hanging. He is now confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jahra Hospital, says Al- Seyassah. Paramedics and security officers rushed to the location after the Operations Room in the Ministry of Interior received a call from the employer saying the Asian worker tried to end his life.

The rescuers took the Asian to Jahra Hospital and the authorities are waiting for his condition to stabilize to start investigations in order to establish the actual circumstances that prompted him to try to take his own life.

On the other hand, an Asian woman was taken to Farwaniya Hospital after trying to commit suicide by drinking insecticide inside the house of her employer in Abdullah Mubarak. Investigations are ongoing to know the reasons behind the suicide attempt.

Meanwhile, a young Egyptian has filed a complaint with the Khaitan Police Station accusing a Kuwaiti youth of assaulting him, reports Al-Shahed daily. A security source said the incident happened when the victim visited the Kuwaiti family in Khaitan and proposed to marry the girl. The brother reportedly got infuriated and assaulted the prospective ‘groom’. The complainant has submitted a medical report showing bruises in the face and abrasions in the neck.
