Asian maid attempts suicide

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27 : An Asian housemaid attempted to commit suicide by consuming large quantities of pills inside her room on the rooftop of her Kuwaiti sponsor’s house.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a Kuwaiti citizen about his housemaid’s suicide attempt, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and took the housemaid to the nearest hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.

During investigations, the housemaid’s sponsor said his daughter went to the housemaid’s room and knocked on the door but did not receive any response. She opened the door to find the woman on the ground with some pills nearby. She informed her father who immediately notified the security authorities. Necessary action was taken and a case of suicide attempt was filed against the housemaid.
