Asian expats caught drunk

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30 : Two Asian expatriates were arrested in Fahaheel area in possession of drugs. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Fahaheel area when they noticed two expatriates who were walking in the area appear frightened to see them.

Securitymen stopped them and checked their details to discover they are Asian expatriates. Upon searching them, securitymen found drugs and a large sum of money.

They were arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, a GCC expatriate was arrested for drunken driving and in possession of one cigarette rolled with hashish on the Coastal Road opposite Mahboula area.

Local liquor seized: The Ahmadi police have arrested an Indian for possessing 85 bottles of locally-manufactured booze, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the bootlegger was arrested at a police checkpoint in Fintas. The suspect reportedly got out of his car and started running. Police then chased and arrested him.

The contraband and the suspect have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control. Meanwhile, An Indian has fi led a complaint with the Zahra Police Station accusing a woman of insulting him while he was parking beside a petrol station off the Sixth Ring Road, reports Al-Anba daily. A case has been registered.
