Asian duo held with 105 liquor bottles – Man wanted in drug cases nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Mahboula area by officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate for peddling in liquor, and 16 bottles of local gin was seized from his possession. A security source said patrolmen on a round of Mahboula area saw the suspected standing by the roadside and holding a bag. He tried to run away when he sighted the police but they chased and arrested him. They found the contraband while searching the bag. He was taken to concerned authorities. Meanwhile, two Asians were arrested in possession of 105 bottles of alcohol in Mangaf area. He was referred to the relevant authority. In another development, acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant police recently raided two places in Kabad and arrested nine persons for bootlegging, reports Al-Qabas daily. The suspects were caught red-handed manufacturing alcohol. Police have seized from the men alcohol manufacturing equipment and booze ready for sale. They have been referred to the Deportation Center.

Wanted in drug cases: A Kuwaiti citizen, who is involved in a number of drug-related cases and has been issued a sentence of imprisonment, was arrested in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. According to security sources, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen were patrolling Al-Ghous Street when they noticed a man sitting inside his vehicle which was parked by the road
