Asian couple nabbed for peddling in drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Personnel from the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control have taken into custody an unidentified Asian couple of the same nationality for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, acting on a tip-off the department set a trap for the suspects and caught the man red-handed selling 100 grams of opium to an undercover police agent and seized from the man the marked police currency. During interrogation the securitymen discovered he has a female live-in partner and accomplice in the drug. The CID men then raided his home, and seized approximately 2 kilos of opium and also took his girlfriend in custody. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, two young Kuwaiti were taken to the intensive care unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital after they were seriously injured when their four-wheel sports vehicle overturned on the Fahaheel Expressway, reports Al-Anba daily.
