Army probes ‘militant’ link

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: The Kuwait Army has conducted investigations and collected information on the young Kuwaiti, identified as Ali Al-Osaimi who is said to have joined DAESH terrorist organization according to a news report publish The Telegraph newspaper, reports Al-Anba daily.

On the other hand, the British Defense attaché at the British Embassy in Kuwait Captain Finlay McLean said he is unsure if Al-Osaimi received training in Britain.

He explained this issue is more of a speculation and as of now there is no evidence to support what has been published by the media. Earlier it was reported that a UK-trained 28-year-old Kuwaiti naval officer had reportedly joined the Islamic State (ISIL), raising fears he could use his knowledge of British maritime activity for terror attacks, according to a British newspaper.
