Amir’s 6th Int’l Shooting Championship enters 2nd day

His Highness the Amir’s Sixth International Shooting Championship enters its second day on Sunday at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex with four competitions staring from 9:00 am. This year’s event has attracted as many as 600 male and female shooters from 47 countries.

The event, which is hosted parallel to the 13th Arab Shooting Championship, will include the 10-meter rifle competition for men; 50 meters pistols competition for men; trap (75 targets) for men, and trap (75 targets) for women.

The title fight is scheduled at 12:00 pm, whereas the Women’s final trap event will take place at 4:00 pm. All winners of today’s matches will be honored in a ceremony at 7:00 pm.

Kuwaiti shooters are due to engage in a fierce competition with shooters from other Arab countries, most of whom are youth or veteran shooters. This compels Kuwaiti shooters to strive for best by demonstrating Kuwait’s shooting sports is in proper course.

Representative of HH the Amir of Kuwait, the Minister of Information and Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah was present at the opening ceremony of the event that witnessed a huge turnout of officials and fans, in addition to participating delegations.
