Almost 1,000 held in ‘massive’ hunt for illegals, law-breakers

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: Public Security Sector embarked on a campaign across the six governorates under the supervision of Deputy Assistant Undersecretary of Interior Ministry Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah from Sept 30 to Oct 6, and arrested 35 people involved in criminal offenses, 77 people wanted for civil cases, 127 absconders, 146 residency violators, 436 people without valid identification papers, 89 people involved in drug-related cases and 7 others for alcohol-related offenses.

The officers also recovered 20 stolen vehicles, provided assistance to 1846 people in the period, issued 30 citations against motorist parking in places allotted for disabled people, and responded to 2157 complaints received via hotline 112.

Pubic Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated the campaign will continue over an indeterminate period in all governorates to ensure security and order.
