KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Assistant Undersecretary for Maintenance Affairs at Ministry of Public Works Eng Mohammad Bin Nakhi affirmed that all advertisements placed on bridges are unlicensed and without official permits, reports Al-Qabas daily. He informed this to Kuwait Municipality in a letter in which he stressed how some companies use bridges for advertisements without securing official permits.

Nakhi declared that the ministry had painted the bridges and removed advertisements immediately after an agreement was reached with Kuwait Municipality on Jan 3, 2012. He affirmed that the ministry strictly adheres to the minister’s decision due to which it never approves the placing of advertisements on bridges.

Nakhi revealed that this violation was communicated to Kuwait Municipality on March 16, affirming that the ministry did not sign agreements with any company or investor to allow placing advertisements on bridges.
