Ali Alghanim & Sons becomes exclusive distributor for Sumitomo tires in Kuwait

After amicable business transfer from Al-Buhaira company
KUWAIT CITY, June 12: Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive Company, the exclusive importer of Land Rover, BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and McLaren vehicles in Kuwait, announced Monday that it has signed an exclusive distributorship agreement with Sumitomo Rubber Middle East and became the official distributor of the brand’s world class tires in Kuwait after amicable business transfer from Al-Buhaira Trading Company.
The agreement was signed today by Eng Fahad Ali Mohammed Thunayan Alghanim, Managing Director of Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive and Masatada Hachiya, Senior General Manager, Sumitomo Rubber Middle East, in attendance of Mohammed Bahman, General Manager of Al-Buhaira Trading Company and senior executives from Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive Company including Yousef Al Qatami, General Manager; Ali Behbehani, Director of Shared Services; and N.S. Suresh, Director, Tires, Lubricants and Batteries (TLB) Division.
Commenting on the agreement, Eng. Fahad Ali Alghanim said, “Besides being a leading importer of premium passenger vehicles in Kuwait, Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive owns a solid lubricants and batteries business. Our TLB arm is the exclusive distributor of Liqui Moly lubricants and Exide batteries. Our achievement of the exclusive distributorship rights for Sumitomo tires comes as a strong addition to our current portfolio of leading brands and bolsters our value proposition.”
Masatada Hachiya, Senior General Manager, Sumitomo Rubber Middle East, said, “The signing of today’s agreement is a major milestone for the Sumitomo brand in Kuwait.
