KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Remarkable games for four weeks place the Al Qwassem in prime position ousting Jordan Elites who hold the throne for seven weeks, KRAHS advance after taming the IBL Tigers while Falcon Int’l Cargo snatched the ninth place from NUSANTARA in the ninth week of the 2019 Philippine Bowling Association in Kuwait 33rd Anniversary Cup – Tenpin Bowling League elimination round at the Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club Complex in Salmiyah, Kuwait. Other teams that won their games were Jordan Elites vs Swooping Eagles 3,071-2,889, UNIMONI Exchange vs GOAN Strikers 2,952-2,699, Asian Air Safari vs N 10 MID8TORS 2,998-2,626 and SKARZ defaulted by Split Happens.

Al Qwassem murdered their rival team the ‘X’-Trikerz by sweeping the three-game series 1,039-989, 1,050-1,012, 1,115-919 with a total score of 3,229-2,920. This is the fourth successive wins of the new top rank while ‘X-Men’ fourth losing streak with win-lose record of 6-3 and 4-5 respectively. The superstars of Al Qwassem were Fadel Al Qassem who delivered 210, 204, 242 (656), Ali Al Qassem with his 183, 227, 234 (644), Hassan Al Qassem contributed 230, 177, 177 (584), Ali Jawli 178, 199, 204 (581), and Saleh Faraj (489). For ‘X-Men’, the top scorer was Ronnel Valencia (593), followed by Ceddie Faa (586), Joe Presenta (533), Abel Nitikusumo (336), Jayson Gamba (289), Chris Carungay (168) and Reygan Percy (100).

The insatiable IBL Tigers showed its virility in the first game and attacked the KRAHS team 1,003-912. Recovered from dismal performance, KRAHS avenged their defeat and subdued the restive Tigers 1,015-840 and in the third game become more aggressive and finally tamed the ruthless Tigers 1,157-949. High pointer was Rene Marzan who delivered 152, 209, 238 (599) supported by equally consistent bowlers Joel Tizon (548), Camilo Baker (535), Eddie Pena (522) and Moises Amahan (509) while the IBL Tigers were Jason D’Souza (483), Aman Agarwal (458), Sheldon Gonsalves (451), Nadine Diaz (434), Ulysses Menezes (270) and Fatima Sequiera (176). The win-lose record were – KRAHS (5-4) and IBL Tigers (4-5).

After Jordan Elites’ dreary loss on Friday, the fifth week 673 point advantage narrowed to 150 points on the eight week by its constant stalker the Al Qwassem team. Surprisingly, despite the Elites’ win over Swooping Eagles 3,077-2,889 still Jordan’s fortress collapsed and was ousted with just two points. The Elites won the second and third game 1,028-971, 1,116-972 while the Eagles won the first match 946-908. Jordan’s top pointer Ali Adel Khalil scored 179, 186, 245 (610) supported by Ali Hikmat (584), Fadi Al Nasri (566), Basma Ammar (526) and Yousef Waleed (475) while Swooping Eagles high scorer was Myra Manalo (553) assisted by Alonzo Bush (497), Jessica Balagat (478), Riz Roque (374), Benjie Roque (289) and Clinton Cathers (272).       Asian Air Safari stop the fourth week winning streak of N 10 MID8TORS after sweeping the scheduled three-game series 935-859, 1,065-941, 973-826. Mohammad Karam delivered 184, 259, 209 (652), Neveen Wasel 174, 238,184 (596), Aqeel Al Farisy (546), Wahab Al Ali (527) and Ghadeer Al Sarraf (322) while N 10 MID8TORS players Luther Huling (537), Hussain Adnan (533), Alma Turley (443), Desmond Coke (369), Lito Michael (339) and Daryll Armstrong (115). With the win, Asian Air Safari kept its fifth rank while the N 10 MID8TORS slide from fourth to seventh place and both teams registered same 6 wins and 3 losses record.

 Finally, UNIMONI Exchange easily dispatched GOAN Strikers after sweeping the 3-game series 989-909, 933-895, 1,005-895 with final score of 2,952-2,699, UNIMONI’s 4-man team were Mousa Abdullah (629), Ruben Cervantes (627), Alex Ndalo (521) and Jang Hosiung (505) while GOAN Strikers composed of Colin Eric Nelson (517), Brian Fernandes (503), Lloyd Fernandes (470), Lloyd D’Souza (298), Vasant Harshan (269) and Allan Fernandes (253). Both teams maintain their third rank and twelfth rank respectively. After the collision between NUSANTARA who were the ninth placers and Falcon Cargo holding the tenth position, just exchange standing when Falcon outsmarted NUSANTARA 2,989-2,854. SKARZ played bye.            

 Individual Best Results: In the Individual High Game – Men’s Class A/O – Asian Air Safari’s Mohammad Karam (269); in Class B – Al Qassem’s Saleh Faraj (279); also in Class C – Jordan Elites’ Yousef Waleed (252); while in Ladies division Class A – Asian Air’s Sonia Mathews (234) and in Class B – N 10 MID8TORS’ Alma Turley (213). In the Individual High Average, Men’s Class A/O – Al Qwassem’s Yacoub Al Shatti (221.7); Class B – Asian Air Safari’s Hussein Salman (198.7) also Class C – Jordan Elites’ Yousef Waleed (174.7) and in the Ladies division, Class A – Sonia Mathews (183.6) while in Class B – Alma Turley of N 10 MID8TORS (172.6).
