Al Qassem All Stars demolish ‘X’ Strikers

Asian Air Safari, Pin Pals dominate rivals

KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Al Qassem All Stars patriarch Fadel Qassem (606) and Ibrahim Al Jadi (615) powered their team to snatched the second spot from sixth position when they demolished ‘X’ Strikers 3,048-2,687 in the third week of the PBAK-2018 Friendship Cup held in Cozmo Entertainment Khaifan branch. Asian Air Safari ousted Pongky Strikers 2,929-2,505 while Pin Pals outsmarted NUSANTARA 2,794-2,697.

Other teams that registered victory were Ebonite, Cozmo team and the Detonators. Seasonal champion Al Qassem All Stars demolished the all Filipino ‘X’ Strikers in their 3-game series 976-947, 990-884, 1,057-856. Both teams with 2-1 win-lose record were members of the ‘Magic 6’ elite group. Ibrahim Al Jadi scored 243, 182, 190 and Fadel Al Qassem with 192, 181, 233 piloted their teams for the victory.

They were assisted by giant Abdul Aziz Al Aslawi (550), Naji Al Houli (497) and Hassan Al Qassem (464) while ‘X’ Strikers 5-man team were Joe Presenta (476), Cris Carungay (447), Rocky Castil (442), Rey Ualat (324), Reygan Percy (227), Benyamin Hasan (148) and Imelda Daguio (131).

Pin Pals registered its first win in three outings and the prey was the winless Nusantara 2,794-2,697. The match up was at Lanes 5/6 with John Fernandes (509) as big pointer. He was supported by Stephen Sequera (436), Allan Fernandes (415), Ignastius Fernandes (404) and Raj Reddy (315) while NUSANTARA’s bowlers were Ahmad Fahmi (466), Saleh Al Faraj (444), Abdul Rahman (425), Razak Abdullah (424) and Erlissa Gantosori (406). After two losses Asian Air Safari recorded its first win after humbling the crippled Pongky Strikers 2,909- 2,505 who showed up with only four bowlers.

Rated kegler Basil Al Enezi (523) was the top scorer and was aided by Aqeel Farisy (518), Khaled Dubayan (420), Salem Hajras (322), Jacky Guitang (267), Sonia Mathews (171), Rudy de Lima (159) and Sandy Panopio (146) while Pongky Strikers players were Mohammad Othman (487), Adolfo Prena (374), Cathy Fernandes (350) and Fatima Fernandez (316).

Ebonite surprised Haribon Slazers who was ahead of two pins after the second game (1,814-1,812) in the third game when they delivered 1,005 points against 897 of Slazers. Ebonite goldmine Yaqoub Al Shatti scored 213, 212, 204 (629) followed by Mohammad Al Shatti (499), Nasser Hajras (353), Ali Al Qassem (321), Mohammad Karam (296), Ali Jawli (156), Ali Al Qattan (132) and Ayoub Al Shatti (127) while Haribon strikers were Eddie Pena (487), Camilo Baker (481), Joel Tizon (467), Rene Marzan (462), Eden Evangelista (234) and Mar Evangelista (114).

Ebonite posted three wins while Haribon with 2 win and one loss. Finally, Cozmo Lane Specialists and the toprank Detonators suppressed their respective nemesis in their three game series.

Cozmo team maintained holding the third spot while recording their third win streak against Swooping Eagles (2,879-2,244) and the pin busters were Lito Michael (482), Neng Cervantes (480), Alex Cervantes (466), Bader Malalah (328), Ruben Cervantes (308) and Ely Ebrada (239) while Swooping Eagles top pointer was Riz Roque (512), Alonzo Bush (420), Darell Sullivan (402), Manuel Sta Maria (200), Clinton Cathers (194) and May Sullivan (151).

The Detonators registered 2-1 win loss record while Angelfi re team still winless and the bomb experts top pointers were Mohammad Abdullah (578), Omar Sagran (515) and Hussein Salman (505) assisted by Sulaiman Shaeiby (484) and Abdullah Dashti (444) while Angelfi re bowlers were Leila Cervantes (380), Kristin (320), Fatima Jassem Mahdi (257), Nasser (227), Jocelyn Barros (217) and Melvin (215).
