Al-Nashama’s ‘Al-Tayyib’ horse wins Al-Anba Trophy – Rawa’eb, Ejab horses finish 2nd & 3rd

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15 (KUNA): Al-Tayyib horse from Al-Nashama Stable with horseman Du came first in the 1,400-meter race to pick the Al-Anba Newspaper Trophy during the second round of Kuwait Equestrian and Hunting Club Horse Racing Competition.

Rawa’eb horse from Dasman Stable with horseman Tawfiq took the second place and Ejab horse from Hamid Al-Mutairi Stable with horseman McCarthy took third place in the race. Awjab horse from Nayef Al-Rashidi Stable, which was the winner of the first round of the competition, was surprisingly out of the second round of the competition.

The event attracted a large number of lovers of horseracing sport led by Secretary General of Kuwait Equestrian and Hunting Club Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad, Chairman of the Association of Jahra Chivalry Dughaym Al-Saeedi and Assistant General Manager of the competition Hamdan Al-Mutairi.

The attendees also included heirs of late Khalid Al-Marzouq and representatives of Al-Anba newspaper led by the Head of the Sports Department in Al-Anba newspaper Samir Bu Sa’ad.

Samir Bu Sa’ad presented the Al-Anba Newspaper Trophy to the owners of Al-Nashama Stable and congratulated them on the feat achieved in the competition, saying he was delighted to present the trophy on behalf of the company.

He also presented another trophy in the memory of late Khalid Al-Marzouq. He declared that Al-Anba newspaper is committed to supporting the sport of the forefathers with the aim of encouraging the lovers of this sport.

In return, Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad presented a plaque on behalf of the club to Al-Anba Newspaper family and another one to the family of late Khalid Al-Marzouq. The honor was in recognition of their unlimited contributions to the competitions organized by the club.
