Al-Nashama stars in horse racing competition – Mehraz beats Yan’oum to win trophy

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22, (KUNA): Al-Nashama Stable has remained consistent to outshine others in horse racing competitions of the Equestrian and Hunting Club with the horse Mehraz ridden by Tawfiq claiming the trophy of Saud Abdul-Aziz Al-Babtain and Sons in level two of the 1600-meter race within a record time of 8.44 minutes.

Mehraz beat horse Yan’oum ridden by Ali Al-Farmawi from the same stable in a distance of 1.5 meters, and another Al-Nashama Stable-owned horse, Amber, ridden by Du took the third spot.

Acting chairman of the club Sheikh Dhari Fahad presented the trophy to the owners of Al-Nashama Stable on behalf of Al-Babtain family.

Also, Al-Nashama horse rider Tawfiq succeeded with the horse Sama from Al-Sorour Stable to win Al-Shuhadaa Cup in the 1000 meters beginner horse race within 5.1 minutes, as he kept a distance of 1.5 meters from Abu Sheiba Stable’s horse Tarraq ridden by Louis, while Al-Sab’e from Al-Ansari Stable ridden by Rafat came third.

Sheikh Dhari Al-Fahad, Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad, Dughaim Al-Saedi and Hamdan Al-Mutairi presented the trophy to Al-Sorour Stable.

Subsequently, horse Jazzam from Nayef Al-Rashidi Stable ridden by Du beat its opponents in the third level category to win the contest, followed by horse Ghala Nawal from Nayef Al-Dabbous and Sons Stable ridden by Marco, while Thunyan Al-Ezz from Al-Osaimi Stable and ridden by Faisal came third.

In the first level 1400 meters race, horse Ya Hayf from Al-Nashama Stable ridden by Du triumphed within 5.31 minutes with a long gap from the horse Sha’alani from the same stable ridden by Tawfiq taking the second place, while horse Armas from Fuhaid Al-Hajeri Stable claimed the third position.

Al-Asefah from Al-Zamanan Stable ridden by Faisal won the trophy in the 1400 meters race for Arab breed horses, by covering the distance within 7.46 minutes, edging out the closest rival horse Raghad Nayef from Ghanim Al-Mutairi ridden by Abdullah Wujaa half the height. Horse Mawj Atyab from Faisal Al-Mutairi Stable ridden by Al-Farmadi took the third place.
