Al-Namashan win men’s 10m air pistol – Al -Assousi, Al-Harbi triumph in shooting champ’ship

KUWAIT CITY, March 6, (KUNA): The Public Authority for Sports Shooting Championship concluded Sunday with crowning of tournament winners.

The tournament consisted various categories – pistol, gun, bow and arrow shooting for men, women, youth and junior women. National Guard shooter Hamad Al- Namashan won the first position in men’s 10m air pistol whereas Kuwait Shooting Club’s Sulaiman Al-Assousi Abdullah Al-Harbi won the first position in the men’s 50m Rifle Prone.

Suleiman Al -Assousi also took the top spot in the men’s 10m Air Rifl e and Mohammed Musallam of Kuwait Shooting Club won first place in archery (Olympic bow and arrow). In the women junior category, Reem Al-Bughaili took the first position in the women’s 10m air rifl e and Jassim Ibrahim was first in the men junior 10m air pistol.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the club Obaid Al-Osaimi said in a press statement following the conclusion of the tournament that the club is keen on organizing local tournaments to raise the standards of the sport especially for juniors to prepare them for future tournaments
