Al-Kuwaiti in suicide attack

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: The ISIL or the so-called Islamic State (IS) has officially announced that Abu Anwar Al- Kuwaiti carried out a suicide operation targeting a popular crowded area in Al-Nasser village in Iraq, reports Al-Rai daily. The announcement said following the attack IS carried out attacks on the Iraqi military sites and crowded places near the village west of the Nasser village using various types of weapons.

A jihadi source said according to the wish of Abu Anwar Al-Kuwaiti, a video footage will be prepared highlighting how Abu Anwar entered the conflict zone in Syria. Meanwhile, the Al-Wafaa foundation, the media arm of DAESH has aired the story of Abu Anwar saying he was studying in the United States and heard about the organization for the first time when an unidentified correspondent of US media outlet was preparing a report about DAESH. After he read the report he was convinced that it was high time he joined the DAESH.

It has been reported he contacted a hotel in Arbil to find out how to go to Mosul, and understood it was a difficult task. The story said, after he travelled to Turkey he stayed at one of the hotels near the Syrian border hotels and tried to gain access to the province of Raqqa but was told he might get killed by the Kurdish militants so he decided to return to America.

But hours before his plane took off he contacted one of the supporters of DAESH through the Internet, who in turn introduced him to one of the coordinators who facilitated the entry of combatants into Syria and that is how he was able to easily join the fighters in that country.
