Al-Ahmadi emerge as champions

Al-Ahmadi team emerged champions in the First Ahmadi Cooperative Societies Futsal Championship which was held from April 11-13 under the patronage of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and in coordination with the cooperative societies of the governorate and Ahmadi Educational Zone.

According to a press statement, the governor congratulated the winning team which had defeated the team from Animal Resources Society to claim the first place. A total of 14 teams had competed in the championship.

Sheikh Fawaz commended the sportsmanship and competitive spirit of the participants, and appreciated the authorities that contributed to the success of the championship.

He explained that the championship is part of the activities of Ahmadi Governorate’s developmental project titled ‘My Governorate is Beautiful’, which the governorate had launched in the beginning of last year.

Meanwhile, Acting Director of Public Authority for Sports Dr Hamoud Fulaitah stressed the keenness of the authority to support the sports activities of all governorates in Kuwait and provide all available facilities for organizing such activities which contribute to the social wellbeing and health of the youths in the country.
