African maid in suicide bid

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: Firefighters succeeded in saving the life of an African domestic worker who threatened to commit suicide by throwing herself from the second-floor balcony of her sponsor’s house due to a dispute with the employer, reports Al-Rai daily. After the operations room of the Ministry of Interior received a report from a citizen stating his domestic worker was threatening to jump from the balcony the rescue team from the general firefighting force rushed to the spot and upon arrival they found the maid on the edge of the balcony and threatened to jump.

Because it was difficult to reach her, firemen used the rescue ladder and approached her and persuaded her not to end her life. After she was referred to the security authorities she justified her action by saying that she was in conflict with her sponsor and she was angry. Necessary measures are being taken against her.
