865 new infections; 626 recover from coronavirus

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 4: Kuwait recorded 865 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours while 1 person died of Covid-19.
The new cases raised tally of registered infections since outbreak of the pandemic to 88,243 and deaths increased to 537, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.

Infections as per health zones, with 223 cases in the Hawalli Health District, 209 cases in the Ahmadi Health District, 191 cases in the Capital Health District, 132 cases in the Farwaniya Health District, and 110 cases in the Al-Jahra Health District.

Al-Sanad said 94 patients were in the intensive care units and there was a total of 8,289 people receiving medical treatment.
He said health care workers conducted 4,738 swab tests in the past 24 hours to increase total tests to 636,220.

Earlier, the ministry said 626 people have recovered from the virus, upping the total number of those to have overcame infection to 79,471
