‘8,486 Kuwaitis waiting for government jobs registered on automated system’

MoJ’s request to recruit 581 Kuwaitis approved

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: Eight thousand four hundred and eighty six Kuwaitis waiting for government jobs are officially registered with the automated system of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Anba daily.

The sources said among these five are holding doctorate degrees, 41 hold a Masters’ degree and the rest university degree in different specialties, and some of them have high school diplomas from training institutes.

The sources said the nominations for work are happening almost daily to meet the needs of government agencies. The daily has learned that the CSC is sifting through the list of candidates who hold only general secondary certificate without diplomas in any courses, fourth intermediate certificate, a primary school certificate and those without any qualification. According to the sources the CSC has cancelled the data of 9,000 Kuwaitis because they have either not responded to calls or not updated their data as required by the CSC.

Meanwhile, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved the request of the Ministry of Justice for the recruitment of 581 experienced Kuwaitis registered with the central recruitment system in administrative support jobs, including ‘typists’, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a statement, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, it has been reported 581 Kuwaitis will be ‘hired’ soon from among those who are registered with the recruitment system. On the other hand, sources at the ministry confirmed that the ministry is keen to apply the policy of substitution as much as possible, but will not cancel now the contract with the company which provides employees until the appointment of alternative employees.
