PAYS holds equestrian festival – Al-Owaidh, Seihan stables tie in 1st place

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) recently organized an equestrian festival titled “We Improved Our Rules” under the auspices of Director General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour represented by the Director of Sports for All Hamid Al-Huzaim, in the presence of large spectators.

Notable among the dignitaries were Chairman and members of Farwaniya Equestrian Club and Chairman of Ahmadi Equestrian Club Mohammad Salem Al-Qahtani.

Al-Owaidh and Seihan stables were in a tie in the winning race and shared the position, while Al-Shelahi stable won the fifth round. All categories of competitors displayed an amazing performance in their respective competitions.

The horse Bashkik from Al-Owaidh stable ridden by Jockey Louis won the first category of 2400 meters within 2.48 minutes, followed by horse Dhakhr Al-Namar from Al-Udheilah stable with Jockey Yousef in the second position, and horse Mef’am owned by Saqer Al-Mutairi in third place under the command of Jockey Dou.

Meanwhile, in the second category of 1400 meters, the horse Harba from Al-Seihan stable in the company of Jockey Steve won the first place within 1.30 minutes, while the horse Cross from Al-Owaimar stable ridden by McCarthy won the second place, and Saad Al-Khayr owned by Al-Udheilah stable made it to the third place under Jockey Jeffery.

The horse Al-Muasis from Al-Umaiedh stable won the third category race of 2000m within 2.36 minutes under the command of Jockey Ali, followed by the German horse from Munahi stable ridden by Marcus, and the third place was taken by Thu Al-Wushah horse from Al-Harbi stable.

In the third category of 1000 meters, the horse Burj Al-Raya from Al-Seihan stable outshined others to make the first place by covering the distance within 1.36 minutes with Jockey Steve, while the horse Burj Rakan from Mutlaq Al-Otaibi stable occupied the second position under Jockey Sislio, and Oyoun horse from Nasser Al-Shelah stable won the third position.

The horse Dorawi from Al-Shelahi stable won the race within 1.46 minutes with Jockey Tawfiq in the fourth round of open first class of the 1600 meters category, and the second place went to the horse Mahya Al-Khayr from Al-Muasis stable ridden by Jeffery, while the horse Al-Sheyb owned by Al-Sehan took the third position under Jockey Koraj.
