KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior affirmed that General Traffic Department (GTD) intensified its campaign on motorbikes and buggies in the last three days, which resulted in the detention of 8 people and impounding of 66 motorbikes and buggies, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It added the first article of Ministerial Decision No. 245/1983 concerning buggies stipulates absolute ban on driving buggies on the main roads, highways, and residential and coastal areas. It added buggies and motorbikes will be impounded and towed to a specified location without GTD taking responsibility for damage or loss, indicating the buggies and motorbikes will not be returned to their owners unless related fees, fines and violations are clear up.
