791 detained for violating Baghdad curfew

BAGHDAD, March 22: Iraqi government personnel have detained 791 persons for violating curfew enforced in the capital Iraq as part of stringent measures to curb spread of the pandemic coronavirus.

Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement on Sunday that some Iraqis intentionally breached the curfew in the city.


The security forces have apprehended 791 violators, seized 331 vehicles and motorcycles and issued more than 14,000 fines.
