70 kg expired foodstuff confiscated

KUWAIT CITY, June 7: The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality affirmed that the Emergency Team of Capital Municipality will continue with the inspection campaigns on wholesale stores in Shuwaikh area, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press release, the department explained that 70 kilograms of expired food items were confiscated from 40 shops and warehouses, and 12 warnings were issued for infringement on state properties.

Director of the Emergency Team Eng Zayed Al-Enezi said the campaign was carried out by the team with the cooperation of the Public Relations Department and in coordination with the four-member committee formed by Municipal Council. He urged all shop owners to comply with municipal rules and regulations.
