61 Coops, supermarkets, stores, pharmacies monitored for smooth flow of food supply

KUWAIT, May 15: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry teams monitored during their inspection tours 61 Cooperative societies, supermarkets, commercial stores and pharmacy stores, as well as monitoring 58 branches of food catering to ensure the flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries and determine the extent of their commitment. Entities maintain stable product prices.

MOCI said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Friday, that its inspection teams’ rounds are continuing in light of the decisions in place regarding the relevant procedures to face the repercussions of the spread of Corona virus infection (Covid 19).

Emergency center had received 181 complaints via the 135 hotline, stressing the need to abide by the law because of the exceptional circumstance the country is going through, and that it and its inspection teams will be on the lookout for all those who ask themselves to take advantage of the current circumstance(KUNA)
