5 new cases detected in Saudi Arabia – Total number rises to 20

RIYADH, Mar 10: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia suspended Monday the travel of citizens and residents from five coronavirus-affected countries and banned the entry of arrivals from those countries.

An official source of the Saudi Ministry of Interior said in a press statement that the Kingdom’s government decided to temporarily stop air and ship travel to Oman, France, Germany, Turkey, and Spain except for evacuation, trade and shipping purposes provided with taking necessary precautions.

This move was taken in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom as part of the efforts to control the virus and prevent its spread as well as to protect the health of citizens and residents, the source added.
