5 deaths and 1,088 new infections in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, April 19 (KUNA) — Saudi Arabia announced fatalities increased due to coronavirus to 97 patients, while the number of infections reached 9,362 cases.


Saudi Health Spokesman Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdelaali said in his daily briefing that five patients died from coronavirus today, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 97 patients.


The spokesman noted that the total number of infections increased today by 1,088 raising the total number of infections to 9,362 cases, adding the number of recoveries reached 1,398 patient

UAE

The UAE reported on Friday four coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths, putting the total at 37 within the last 24 hours.
The Emirati authorities announced that 477 cases of infection and thus the total reached 6,302.
Recoveries reached 93 in a day, putting the total at 1,188, it revealed

Qatar

Qatar on Saturday declared the eighth death due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in addition to registering 345 new confirmed infection cases.
Qatari Ministry of Health said in a statement the single fatality was of a Qatari, aged 59, who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Total number of contamination cases climed to 5,008, mostly of expatriate workers who had been quarantined.
A small proportion of the cases belonged to citizens and residents, who had mingled within families or at work.
The new cases were placed in total quarantine and given necessary medical treatment, the ministry statement said, adding that there were 46 new registered recoveries, with the total of such cases amounting to 510

Bahrain

Bahrain on Sunday announced 100 new coronavirus infections, while four patients recovered from the disease, said the health ministry.
In a statement, the ministry stressed that the mobile examination units are continuing to conduct random coronavirus tests, indicating that more than 2,565 laboratory tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, all over Bahrain with the aim of identifying existing cases early.
The ministry also noted that the total number of recoveries surged to 759 after confirmation of today’s four new cases.

Oman

Omani Ministry of Health reported on Sunday recording 86 new infection cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) bringing the tally to 1,266.
A ministry’s statement, broadcast by the official Omani news agency, said there were 15 Omani citizens among the newly registered cases, in addition to 71 non-Omanis.
Up to 233 people who were sick with the virus infection recovered, but six others died, it added
