49,107 travel bans issued

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: Statistics issued by Ministry of Justice show the General Department for Sentences Enforcements in the first six months of this year has issued travel bans on 49,107 people, lifted travel bans on 42,241 people and ordered the seizure of 60,263 vehicles, reports Al-Shahed daily.

Phone stolen: The police are looking for an unidentified thief for stealing a cell phone from a shop selling mobiles, reports Al-Rai daily. The owner of the shop – whose his identity hasn’t been disclosed – has filed a complaint with the Abu Halifa Police Station. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Salaam Police Station accusing her ex-husband of assaulting her and her sister, reports Al-Anba daily. The incident happened in the parking lot of a school in the area. The two complainants have provided police with medical reports. Police have summoned the man for interrogation.
