3rd Egyptian Horse Beauty Contest concludes – Sixth National Championship kicks off Nov 30

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The third Egyptian Horse Beauty Contest concluded its activities on Saturday as part of the ongoing Kuwait National Festival for Arabian Horse 2017 which is being sponsored by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The contest witnessed participation of 220 Arabian horses of pure Egyptian bloodline.

Present at the final ceremony for the contest were representative of HH the Crown Prince — acting Minister of Commerce and Industry and acting State Minister for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Arabian Horse Center Alaa Al-Roumi and several board members amid the huge crowd.

Various stables were crowned in their respective categories by Al-Roudan as prices went to winners in different categories: foals, female and male mares which are one to three years old, and mares and stallions older than four years-old.

In two weeks time, the next contest of the festival, Sixth National Championship, will kick off on Nov 30, 2017 and the three-day event expects participation of 374 horses.

In his press statement, Al-Roumi extolled His Highness the Crown Prince’s sponsorship of this year’s festival; adding that the Arabian Horse Center will continue supporting Kuwaiti horse breeders whose number keeps on increasing year after year.  He added such a development has a positive impact on this authentic Arab sport.
