303,819 ‘employees’ in all state institutions as of beginning of Oct

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: The total number of employees in all state institutions is 303,819 including 223,658 citizens and 80,161 expatriates as of beginning of October 2017, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to a statistics issued by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the number of employees in all state institutions during the first quarter of 2017 was 317,453 including 234,121 citizens and 83,332 expatriates.

The number during the second quarter was 341,386 including 255,914 citizens and 85,472 expatriates.

The number of employees in the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning is 688 including both citizens and expatriates.

The number of employees in Ministry of Public Works is 13,903.

The number of employees in Ministry of Information is 8,255.

The number of employees in Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is 14,835.

The number of employees in Ministry of Commerce and Industry is 3,154.

The number of employees in Ministry of Education is 111,321.

The number of employees in Ministry of Higher Education is 1,147.

The number of employees in Ministry of Foreign Affairs is 1,778.

The number of employees in Ministry of Interior is 20,080.

The number of employees in Ministry of Defense is 3,110.

The number of employees in Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor is 10,236.

The number of employees in Ministry of Health is 62,823.

The number of employees in Ministry of Justice is 10,177.

The number of employees in Ministry of Electricity and Water is 20,533.

The number of employees in Ministry of Finance is 3,428.

The number of employees in Ministry of Communications is 8,201.
