30 tons of tobacco confiscated

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10, (Agencies): The General Administration of Customs announced on Wednesday, the seizure of about 30 tons of banned tobacco in the port of Shuwaikh, which were found in two containers that were coming from a Gulf country.

Customs said in a press statement that the two containers contained sanitary tools, according to the documents attached to them, and when they were inspected by the inspection and storage control men, a substance (tanbac) was found that is prohibited from being imported by the Ministries of Commerce and Health, and the necessary measures were taken. Customs warned anyone who might be tempted to smuggle narcotics and prohibited goods in all their forms and types into the country, stressing that he will expose himself to legal accountability and take customs procedures against him
