3 stores shut for hiking up prices and not adhering to health measures

KUWAIT, May 5: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced today, Tuesday, three commercial stores were shut in violation of the prices set for products and did not abide by the health ministry laws to avoid spread of corona virus.


MOCI said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that its inspection teams monitored 194 cooperative societies, supermarkets, commercial stores and vegetable shops to determine the extent of their commitment and maintain the stability of product prices.

The inspection teams monitored 72 catering branches to ensure the smooth flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries.

According to the emergency center has received 74 complaints on hotline (135) and 14 complaints through control centers , while the renewal and issuance of ration cards for the number 393.
