KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: Three Pakistanis, an Indian and a Bangladeshi were arrested for waylaying people, attacking them and stealing their money and possessions. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen, after receiving several complaints about thefts, carried out investigations and managed to arrest the five-member gang.

When questioned, they confessed to committing several theft operations. They revealed that they would divide the stolen items among themselves inside their apartment. Necessary action was taken against the suspects.

Meanwhile, a wanted Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested for stealing medicines from hospitals and selling them at cheap prices to compatriots in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. When Farwaniya securitymen received information about the illegal activity of the Bangladeshi expatriate, they kept a tab on him.

They discovered that he is wanted by law for his involvement in a fraud case of KD 850. After confirming the information and taking the necessary measures, the suspect was arrested in possession of a number of medicines.

He confessed to stealing the medicines from hospitals with the intention of selling them to his compatriots. He was referred with the confiscated medicines to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
