28 cafes and 129 stores were closed in Jahra in March

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 2: The director of the Municipality of Jahra Governorate, Thamer Al-Mutairi stated 28 cafes and 129 stores in Jahra Governorate were closed during the month of March for violating the precautionary and preventive measures to avoid the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).

Al-Mutairi said in a press statement that the supervisory agencies had issued and issued 276 warnings and notices to shops to abide by the decisions of Cabinet Ministers, the Ministry of Health and municipal regulations.

On the other hand, the Director of the Department of Auditing and Follow-up of Municipal Services in the branch of the Municipality of Al-Farwaniyah Governorate, Nasser Al-Rashidi, said that field trips have been carried out in all areas of Al-Farwaniya Governorate resulting in the checking of 120 stores and shutting 60 stores including 5 stores at the time of the partial ban.

The director of the General Cleaning and Road Works Department of the Municipality of Jahra Governorate, Fahd Al-Quraifa, said that the field tour have been carried out by the administration in the areas of the province resulted in 56 warnings, releasing of 11 different violations, the lifting of 7 abandoned cars and scrap, as well as washing and sterilizing 4,300 containers.

Al-Qurayfah added that monitoring of road works freed 13 street vendor violations, in addition to editing 4 road traffic violations, calling on citizens and residents to call the hotline 139, which works around the clock or communicate via the municipal accounts on social media or via (WhatsApp) 24727732 in the event Any complaint related to the municipality.
