250,000 expats vaccinated; Medicine delivery to continue

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: The Pharmacy Department at Amiri Hospital has affirmed the continuation of medicine delivery service through the hospital’s website, reports Al-Jarida daily. On the Twitter account of the hospital, the department pointed out the above-mentioned service is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of patients, protect their health and improve the medicine distribution service. The department explained the medicines are delivered to the health centers within two or three days of submitting the request on the electronic portal, adding the patients can choose any of the five designated health centers for their treatment from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm during the official working days.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health disclosed that the mobile vaccination units have vaccinated 250,000 expatriates since April till date. Head of the Mobile Vaccination Campaign Team at the ministry Dr Dina Al- Dhubaib said 3,000 bedridden people have been vaccinated since the launching of the service for this category in February. “Our aim now is to vaccinate the expatriate workers in Wafra and Abdally,” she concluded. The Director of the Central Administration for Primary Health Care, and Head of the Mobile Immunization Units team at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Dina Al-Dhubaib, announced the completion of the fifth phase of the field units campaign, reports Al-Qabas daily. Dr Al-Dhubaib said during the campaign 250,000 people were given the anti- Covid-19 jabs, adding efforts will continue to vaccinate farm and other workers in the Wafra and Abdali areas soon. Dr Al-Dhubaib said in a statement, “The campaign has succeeded in vaccinating about 3,000 bedridden people, since the launch of the campaign last February,” and called on those people who fall in this category to register quickly on the Ministry of Health vaccination platform and appointments will be given within 48 hours. Dr Al-Dhubaib went on to say the Ministry of Health efforts continue to achieve the required societal immunity
