22nd Martyrs Ramadan Futsal tourney kicks off

KUWAIT CITY, May 19: The 22nd Martyrs Ramadan Futsal Tournament, which is being organized by Jabriya Cooperative Society under the sponsorship and in the presence of Sheikh Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, kicked off on Saturday at Mohammed Ismail Al-Ghanim School Hall in Jabriya.

According to a press release, four matches for Group 1 have been lined up for the opening day. The first match is between Martyr Abdulhameed Khuraibet team and Martyr Asrar Al-Qabandi team. The match between Martyr Ibrahim Safar team and Martyr Jassim Dashti is next, followed by a match with Martyr Noura Attiya team against Martyr Najeeb Al-Rifai team.

The final match of day 1 will see Martyr Wahid Safar team lock horns with Martyr Mousa Ashkanani team. The organizing committee of the tournament had affirmed all preparations for the tournament were in full swing, revealing about valuable prizes in store for fans and supporters in a draw that will be conducted during the matches.

The tournament will be based on knockout system and will witness accredited referees from Kuwait Football Association. The organizers have urged all players to show sportsmanship spirit and respect the rules and regulations in order to ensure the tournament is successful.
