22,000 speeding citations issued in two weeks

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The General Traffic Department announced that the speed cameras on Road 306, which connects Wafra and Mina Abdullah, recorded 22,049 speeding violations from Nov 27 to Tuesday, Dec 13, reports Al-Rai daily. The General Traffic Department warned motorists to adhere to the specified speeds for their own safety and the lives of others, pointing out that speeding above the average results in accidents that cause serious injuries or lead to death.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior said that the Public Security Sector of the Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate have arrested a motorist for reckless driving after someone posted a video clip in the social media, reports Al-Rai daily. The car has been impounded and the motorist has been charged with reckless driving and endangering the lives of other motorists and pedestrians.
